Since 1998, Cold Springs Landscape has been providing the Santa Barbara/Montecito area with premiere quality landscape construction and designs. What started with just a truck, a shovel and a dog, is now a full service business with all the equipment and manpower to get your project completed.

Whether it is a small sized front garden to landscaping larger acres of land, we treat each client’s project with all the respect and care that is due living art.

Living art is what we build, but we also make it useful and fundamentally sound, from underground drainage and irrigation, up to the tops of the specimen trees, and all the beauty in between. Plus, we can take care of it in a way that maintains your garden's beauty and integrity.

Our History

Steve Gowler, the owner of Cold Springs Landscape, is a lifelong resident of the Santa Barbara area. At the age of 15, Steve developed his passion for working with the earth when he first started working outdoors installing new avocado orchards. From there, Steve moved on to work at Westmont College where he developed a love for the old estate gardens and gradually restored them to match the dignity and grandeur of their architecture.

Cold Springs Landscape has won numerous awards over time, but Steve is most interested in putting quality into the spaces you wish to enjoy and adore, managing your project in all the ways that deliver the best product and providing complete customer satisfaction as your desires turn into reality.
